Weather Forecasting
Michael Fain started Washington Online weather in the mid-1990s. Washington Online Weather (WOW). For decades, WOW provided mountain forecasts for the Washington Cascades and Olympics to active outdoor enthusiasts, as well as serious mountaineers. Michael went on to start Mt. Everest Weather Forecasting to provide custom weather forecasts for Everest expedition groups and for other major mountains.
Michael also provides storm warnings to some local governments in the Greater Puget Sound area, covering wind, snow and atmospheric river events. Additionally, he provides other weather services through West Coast Weather and contributes to Weather and Wine regarding weather and climate trends in key wine regions. In his spare time, Michael is always outdoors hiking, biking or kayaking.
